So my previous post on ellie goulding got deleted since there was infringement. So this is without download links. Apparently she's going to be the new amazing thing this year!? Ellie Goulding. She's got that voice that suits dubstep, really soothing and catchy as said by some people. However I have obviously discovered her through blogs and found remixes of her work by Jakwob. That was the only remixer of her work. Who appreciated it and for himself and made quality remixes of starry eyed and under the sheets. The came the recognition as she was crowned BBC Sound of 2010. That is all big congratulations for her and hope she does well. However the amount of mediocre to average remixes that flooded the markets unbelievable. Everybody was trying to ride her wave of success. People wheres the originality? Makes me sick. Praise be to Ellie and Jakwob, others can beat it

As soon as I say that Eminem's album is not as strong as you thought it would be he goes and does a verse on Drake's song "Forever". I mean everyone on the track holds their own but Em kills it. He probable heard all the criticism about Relapse and was like shit I better do some better stuff. Voila! You got Em destroying Drakes single.

There's also another leak from Mr. Carter's album "The Blueprint 3", the man who said he quit after "The Black Album"! Anyway this track is also produced by Timbaland and J has a darker side to his lyrics, whereas Timbo does not produce anything too fancy.

Ratatat keep making some good tracks. It seems they like their Hip Hop because they have a whole album dedicated to remixing some good tracks. The albums called "Remixes Vol.2" and they advocate on their website that you should just go search online to download their album for free, so we did and you can download it here

So it starts again the build up to Boys Noize's second album, which is entitled Power due for release in October. HOwever reading it up on wikipedia someone has already described what all the tracks on the album are like. Perhaps it has been leaked already? He has the most explosive DJ sets out there, i missed his show twice now and cannot believe that I did. So his track is Starter does exactly what it says. What's regarded much better is Jeffer which is a bounce pop track which is regarded as better out of the 2 tracks. Also in the news is that 2 gigantic power plants have come together and I do not think that they have made a track together before, so it's a big moment in history ha!

I Stumbled upon this remix of Biggies "Party and Bullshit". The song was spiced up by Ratatat by a refreshed beat and some nice guitar noise which makes it sound that much better because Biggies vocals were not altered at all its all him in the track.
The second song is from Drake who just signed to Lil Waynes label and is currently touring with him. This track is very different from his usual tracks as he mostly has R&B type laid back tunes. Sampled from Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner", which Tupac once sampled to make his version "Dopefiend's Diner". He does kill it in this song and a lot of credit must go to the production too.
The hype surrounding the new Jay-Z album "The BluePrint 3" keeps growing before its release on Sep 11th, how creative everyone keeps doing that. Anyway for some reason its only Timbaland produced tracks that have been released for some reason, of which there are 3. Nothing too special from Timbaland. However Kid Cudi, Empire of the Sun and Mr. Hudson are going to be featured in the album. Sick

There's also a lonely island track which i think funnily mocks the type of musi i just postet to bring a nice balance.

Snoop Dogg teams up with Тимати

So there's this Russian rapper called Тимати, who i don't particularly like cos his hit songs have been completely ripped from other peoples work (for example Robin Thickes "Wanna Love You Girl" sounds almost identical to Timati's Dance (Потанцуй)). Apparently he does have his own material which is better but thats not what made him famous. Anyway, Snoop Dogg has a reputation for collaborating with a lot of artists, I have heard him on some french rappers' songs, so its not that big a surprise Timati got to work with him. SO In the end came out this video below, the lyrics are the same as any other song which is disappointing, snoop didn't lay a verse, but for some reason i like the song, i don't know why!

So Kid Cudi, who's Day 'n' Night(Crookers Remix) was the unofficial Bournemouth University anthem of 2008, is set to release his debut album and im am looking forward to it as its all completely new material apparently, hopefully its not going to be sampled as much as his mixtapes.

Man On The Moon:The End Of Day is set for release on the September 15th. The date probably set by his new mentor Kanye, who signed him to his Good Music label and had his own albums released during the mid september dates if you remember. Anyway here are some tracks that i like from his 2 mixtapes. I particularly like The Prayer which was sampled from Band of Horses' song The Funeral is really cool. As well as the new single I Poke Her Face which takes the piss out of Lady Gaga is really pleasing as that woman is starting to annoy me!

He has some good stuff, i posted the ones i like from his new album "Asleep In The Bread Aisle" as well as Roth Boys which was produced by Diddy. Although I'm slightly tired of I Love College i threw it in there for good measure as people still probably like that song. He also apparently freestyled 150 bard which is something like 5 mins worth of freestyling is quite an achievement. Good Lad

I like these songs and I think they would be quite cool in the sense that they are really upbeat and would like to think they are bassy. I'd be hard to say which one is my favorite one. I saw Boy 8 Bi when he came down and he had good set and I thought he was saving The Suspense Is Killing Me till last but he never did i was hoping to be blown away, never mind.
Get Up remixed by Diplo, no idea how the original sounds like, is becoming recognised by people, but i originally heard it on the Stanton Sessions III Promo Mix which came out in 2008 was what got me into Stanton Warriors although they have been around since 2001.
The other 3 tracks are just my personal favorites although less popular.

Pretty Much Amazing!

I First found them at the beginning of the summer and still like all their songs. Guess what!? Theyre freshers at college. Can you believe that? The call themselves Chiddy Bang and they have done something which is really hard to do. Mixed rap with electronica. Their ability to sample is incredible, since all of the tracks are based on samples. They are unsigned, but if the right strings are pulled then there could be some magic in the near future. People seem to like the Radiohead sampled "Because" for some reason, my personal favorites are "Sooner or Later" and "Kids". Just Listen to them, its pretty much amazing!

Weird album, well you couldn't expect more from a drug addict. It has some horrendous lyrics which in comparison with the Slim Shady LP are slightly worse. Straight away posting something new vodka was the subject tonight. A friends freezer apparently froze their vodka. I abused her saying she has cheap vodka, but apparently she tested it with lots of different stuff. normal 40% vodka freezes at -26C apparently. I then read this to see whats the best vodka out there and it turns out Chopin is by far the best with little after burn, and the spoiled rich kids' highly acclaimed Belvedere only made it to 5th place, this can all be found on here Slate.

This Boy is from LANDAN. Boy 8-Bit aka David Morris made his first steps onto the dance scene when Dj Touche included his track ‘The Colonel’ in his Radio One essential mix in 2004. He was then offered the chance to remix Touche’s seminal track ‘The Paddle’ for Southern Fried Records, along with other high profile tracks such as Dave Clarke and Arthur Baker’s ’ This Feelin’ – which was supported by Radio One’s Essential Selection and Armand Van Heldens ’ When The Lights go Down’ which recieved plays from Radio One’s Annie Mac.

The Boy was also a resident at the Body Clap night was also held at London’s ultra trendy T-Bar. It ran for over two years and became the clubs longest running night. The night has now moved onto Fabric one of Londons largest and most popular venues.

He has also played guitar for the band the Black Ghosts – aka Simon ‘We are your Friends’ Lord from Simian and Theo Keating aka DJ Touche from the Wiseguys. His time in the band included a performance at 2007’s Glastonbury festival.

The man came down to Bournemouth and performed at the club 2020, where on fridays the night which calls itself 2020 ROCKS brings Bournemouth the new artists of that type of genre, including Sinden, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJ's, Kissy Sell Out, A-Track, Erol Alkan etc. He did not fail to disappoint and played all the tunes except the suspence killed me and he never played that song!

Kissy Sell Out is a DJ/producer and graphic designer from the UK. Kissy Sell Out quickly gained notoriety in 2006/07 in the UK for his eccentric electro productions and energetic DJ style.

Although Kissy has often been decribed by the press as being a staple of the east London electro scene, Kissy is in fact from Colchester in Essex. It was during his adolescent years growing up there that he became obsessed with records by Nirvana, Aphrodite, Swans, Felix Da Housecat and John Martyn, while dividing the rest of his time between school, DJing at teenage house parties and chasing girls at the local roller-skating rink. For a long time I've been trying to get this old blog up and running to share some of the stuff thats going on. However it proved a bit more difficult than I thought at first but hey were getting somewhere now! Obviously to do with the music side of things. Avid listener of the old Electro, and by Electro i don't mean silly little electro house thats going round at the moment, but electro as in the likes of Boys Noize.
